TRANSIENT OVER-VOLTAGE SURGE PROTECTION: This is the function often found in power bars. There are two basic approaches to this problem. First is protecting the basic power line and uses ONE device. It's kind of the minimum, and it cost $11.99 when added to any soft start. The more extensive way is to protect all three wires going into the soft start from transients. Buy THREE devices to implement this scheme at $11.99 each, total $35.97
